Meet Our Team

Kimberly Reese - Mensah,  Founder/President

Kimberly is a Publicist Agent, CEO/owner of Reese Incorporated and Wife and Mother of 5 special needs children, four of them on the Autism Spectrum.  In 2000, Kimberly's desire to serve and her heart for those who have children and adults on the spectrum sparked her desire to form Urban Families for Autism which is now a program under The Reese Mensah Foundation.  In her tenure, she has helped other organizations form, has sat on several Non Profit Organizational boards, traveled across the country and abroad advocating for families who have challenges.  She has also served as president of local schools LSDMC's, President of PTA's and PTO's in two school districts and the Current President of the BAC4RE (Blue Ash Citizens For Racial Equity). The organization ( The Reese Mensah Foundation)  has provided financial help, resources, food and PPE for families in the greater Cincinnati area and in Ghana West Africa. Kimberly is a formally trained vocalist/Musician and a Publicist Agent by trade. Kimberly attended the Cincinnati School for the Creative and Performing Arts and attained a BA in Communications from The Wright State University and a certificate in Communications from the University of Cincinnati. Kimberly is a certified Doula of 20 years, receiving her certification from the New Jersey Department of Health.   

Albert Mensah - VP/ International Liaison 

Albert is a Professional Photographer and Co - Owner of  Reese - Mensah Inc. in Ghana West Africa.  Husband and Father of a special needs child on the Autism Spectrum, Albert has always had a special place in his heart for those who suffer.  Spearheading the projects in Ghana, he has facilitated  and executed all of the projects we are currently working on in Ghana and has been the international  liaison for the organization. 


Tina Head -Dick, Board Member/Advocate

Tina is the Vice President, FRBD Program Specialist at U.S. Bank.  She is the Mother of a daughter on the Autism spectrum.  Tina is not only intricately involved with the care of her child, but advocates for other families and has served on local school based and faith based organizations. 




Brandford Darlington, Board Member/Advocate

Brandford is the CEO/Owner of Focus On Independence, an organization that provides direct care and support for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other disabilities.   Born and raised in Ghana West Africa,  Brandford is a Husband and father of 5 children and has been an avid supporter of Urban Families For Autism, under the umbrella of The Reese - Mensah Foundation. 


Raven Simmons, Board Member/Advocate 

Raven is a Wife and Mother of three sons, two of which are on the Autism Spectrum. Raven is also a trained interpreter and advocate for families in the Cincinnati area.  Raven is a dedicated caregiver and has developed a great learning model for her two sons on the spectrum. 


Mary Reid,  Board Member/Advocate/JD, M.S.W, L.I.S.W-S  

Mary has over 30 years of experience in working with children and families impacted by poverty. Earning her Master’s degree in Social Work from Howard University in Washington, DC and her law degree from UIC John Marshall Law School in Chicago, IL, she has worked as a social worker in the child welfare, mental health and school settings.  She has practiced law as a GAL-Attorney with Hamilton County’s Public Defender’s office.  Currently she is the Social Services Director at the Society of St. Vincent de Paul – Cincinnati District Council.   She is on the boards of Strategies to End Homelessness and eXclusive Services – Integrated Healthcare Facility as well as the Advisory Board for the Social Work Department of Mt St. Joseph’s. Mary is the single mother of a 28 year old son who is a graduate of The Ohio State University and Xavier University and who is currently a School Counselor in Middletown.  Her motto is “Be kind to everyone you meet, for everyone is fighting some kind of battle.”
